About
Honoring Those Who Dedicated Their Lives to Healing
At the Ogeechee Region Nurse Honor Guard, we honor the compassionate service and unwavering dedication of nurses who have devoted their lives to caring for others. Our solemn and heartfelt ceremonies provide a meaningful tribute to recognize the profound impact of nurses, both in life and in memory.
Chapter membership is open to active or retired nurses (RNs, NPs, CRNAs, CNSs, and LPNs) in good standing with the Board of Nursing. There is no minimum annual requirement for attending tributes – our only request is for each member to respond when a tribute request is identified allowing us to perform the Nightingale Tribute as intended – a final, respectful farewell to a nurse who dedicated his/her life to caring for others. Please complete the contact form for more information.
Join our mission to honor & celebrate the lives and achievements of our fellow nurses.

Having served in the US Navy Honor Guard Unit I can only say that this is an honorable program to get involved in if you are a nurse here locally. You have no idea how much families appreciate what you do for them by honoring their loved ones in this manner. God bless!

They have a very moving ceremony honoring their fallen colleagues. It was very moving and special. I know it helps the families with their loss. It helps give them closure. It truly helped me.
